UPDATE: yes I got the dates wrong. Blame my baby and sleep deprivation 😄
I’ve been a FAIR volunteer for 12 years*. It’s one of the most fulfilling, worthwhile, and fascinating hobbies I can imagine. I love the Church, I love Church history, I love researching and knowing interesting things, and I love knowing that there are solid answers to every attack anyone has ever made against the Church.
And I love the conference!
This year’s conference is coming up fast: August 1st through 3rd (that’s Wednesday through Friday) in Provo. All the details are here:
https://www.fairlatterdaysaints.org/conference/august-2023
It’s going to be so fascinating, and so much fun. You don’t have to be a nerd or a scholar to come and have a great experience. The speakers this year are, to put it mildly, SO GOOD. Some of them are:
--BYU Pathway President Brian Ashton discussing the progress and significance of Pathway for the worldwide church,
-- Andrew Young on how Hollywood undermines families,
—Ralph Hancock on the importance of political apologetics,
-- Ty Mansfield, Skyler Sorenson, and their wives on being gay, LDS, and in successful marriages,Â
-- John Gee on defending the church,
-- Jenny Reeder on the Eliza R. Snow Project,
-- Geneticist Ugo Perego on genetics and the Book of Mormon,
-- Keith Erekson on Patriarchal blessings,
-- Jenet Erickson on the changes to For the Strength of Youth,
-- Janiece Johnson on the Mountain Meadows Massacre,
-- Jennifer Roach on child abuse lawsuits against the church,
-- John Welch on the Book of Revelation,
-- Neal Rappleye on Martin Harris and the plates,
-- Stephen Smoot on the Book of Abraham,
-- Don Bradley on Joseph Smith's sincerity.
Please come, please tell your friends and family, please spread the word!
