BYU was right to remove an LGBT “resource pamphlet” from freshman welcome bags, but the public doesn’t understand why. It disturbingly promoted a drag show and gender "transition" to students.
Thank you, Cassandra, for picking up the torch and running with it on this issue. The warning bell about this movement needs to be sounded loud and long and clear.
BYU needs to wake up. I am exasperated and disappointed that my tithing money goes to a school so "elite" that half of my kids couldn't even attend — and now this!
PS I have pictures of the pamphlet my friends daughter got at Helaman Halls in her freshman welcome kit. Also, my son and his cousin in Heritage Halls are getting invites from other students in their WARD group chat to join them at the drag show. Complete with a photo of the flyer.
Wow, what a well written article. THANK YOU! My son luckily did not get one but my friends daughter did! Helaman halls. Quite a few of them living there did. I’m horrified and can’t believe the city and school are still allowing this drag show to go on.
This is disgusting to say the least. Is the church still in control of BYU, or is it being ran by activists? All activities being promoted within the walls of the school should be in accordance with the teachings of the church and honor code.
